Built by a former Princeton men's hockey captain.
Position, level, GPA, goals, recruiting activity, video status, timeline — structured into the profile that drives everything else.
Backcheck maps realistic reach, target, and development paths — specific to this player's age, level, academics, and goals. Not a template.
The roadmap becomes a week-by-week action plan with specific parent and player tasks, calibrated to where you are in the recruiting calendar.
Backcheck drafts personalized intro emails to specific coaches using the player's stats, video, and target school context. You review and send from your own inbox.
As stats, video, schools, and replies come in, the profile updates. Every feature re-calibrates automatically. The plan stays current as the player's situation evolves.
Every feature reads from the same player profile. The more complete the profile, the sharper every output becomes.

Open-ended Q&A grounded in the active player profile. Every answer is specific to this player's situation — not generic recruiting advice.
Once the profile is built, this is where your family works. Every module, every update, every plan — in one place.
Backcheck was built by Noah de la Durantaye, former captain of Princeton men's hockey, to help families navigate the recruiting process with structure, honesty, and real context.
Most families don't need more noise. They need a clearer sense of where their player stands, what options are realistic, and what to do next.
I have been on both sides of the recruiting process. Before Princeton, I was the player trying to understand where I fit, when to contact coaches, what my reel should show, and which programs were actually realistic.
Most hockey families are forced into one of two bad options: expensive private advisors or generic recruiting platforms that create more noise than clarity.
Backcheck was built to close that gap — to give families the structure, context, and honest guidance I wish I had earlier in my own journey, without the pressure, inflated promises, or sales calls.
Turn those questions into a profile, a roadmap, and a weekly plan.
Every recommendation is calibrated to the player — not a generic age cohort, not a marketing template. Honest enough to be useful, optimistic enough to keep the player moving forward.
Create the profile first. Backcheck uses that to generate the roadmap, plan, school list, outreach, video guidance, and weekly digest.
This feature is shown with sample outputs. Live personalized plans will be available when Backcheck opens beta access.
